Another month has passed already! We've been very busy as board, and have managed to organise lots of fun events. In this email, we're looking back on this fun month, made possible by your wonderful participation!

Review: MOSTdag
|
|
On the 19th, there was an introductory day for all MOST members. All members were welcome to come and chat over drinks. Some older students also set up tables to share their passions related to our program. You could come and listen (and join in the conversation) about women's rights, music, Central Asia, and much more. It had already been a very enjoyable afternoon, but the mostniki and mostnitsy couldn't get enough of the fun, so we headed straight to North End, VIP, and the Veste. A successful day indeed!

Review: Biweekly Borrels
|
|
Bi-weekly drinks means we've already had two drinks, and both times we had over twenty people! The members at the first borrel were mostly from higher years, the second also had many first-year bachelor and master students, but both times there was an enthusiastic, friendly MOST-enclave in front of 't Praethuys. The next drinks are already on the 7th, so don't hesitate to stop by!

October Lecture RAAM: Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya
|
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, leader of the democratic Belarusian opposition against dictator Aliaksandr Lukashenka, will deliver the ninth October Lecture of Platform RAAM on Friday October 17, in the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam. In her October Lecture, Tsikhanouskaya will reflect on five years of repression in Belarus and discuss the future of her country and of Europe. Caught between Russia, Ukraine and NATO, what is the current state of Belarus? Will the country still exist as a sovereign state five years from now? Why is Belarus so vital for European security? And how do Belarusians view Russia’s war against Ukraine?

Come enjoy a snack and a drink at "Иван Васильевич меняет профессию," the comedy by director Leonid Gaidai based on Bulgakov's play. After the film, we'll vote to select the next film to be shown. The screening takes place on October 10th, from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM, in Lipsius 1.29.
